Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

Section 520E-2 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290bb-

Section 520E-2 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290bb- 36b) is amended-- (1) in subsections (a) through (f)-- (A) by striking ``an institution of higher education'' each place it appears and inserting ``a covered institution''; (B) by striking ``the institution of higher education'' each place it appears and inserting ``the covered institution''; and (C) by striking ``institutions of higher education'' each place it appears and inserting ``covered institutions''; (2) in subsection (c)-- (A) in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking ``Any institution of higher education'' and inserting ``Any covered institution''; and (B) in paragraph (5), by striking ``institution of higher education supported'' and inserting ``covered institution-supported''; and (3) by amending subsection (g) to read as follows: ``(g) Covered Institution Defined.--In this section, the term `covered institution' means-- ``(1) an area career and technical education school (as defined in section 3 of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006); and ``(2) an institution of higher education (as defined in
