HAMDT 109 - 97
A substitute amendment to the Hillis amendment to prohibit the purchase of administrative motor vehicles manufactured outside the U.S. or Canada, unless the Secretary of Defense submits to the Armed Services Committee of the Senate and the House a written statement that there is not available for such purchase a suitable motor vehicle manufactured in the U.S. or Canada. This restriction applies for one year.
